That Summer in Paris

Exile Editions, 2002

Long before Woody Allen’s film Midnight In Paris, there was Ernest Hemingway’s A Moveable Feast, and Morley Callaghan’s That Summer In Paris. Originally published in 1963, it’s Callaghan’s personal account of that pivotal summer of 1929 when Paris was the literary nexus of the English-speaking world. Stories of the Lost Generation in Paris also inspired Riverside Drive.
