bissett is the author of over 30 books, noted for his unusual performances of "concrete sound" poetry. In 2006, Nightwood Editions published radiant danse uv being, a poetic tribute to bissett with contributions from more than 80 writers, including Margaret Atwood and Leonard Cohen. His most recent book is the novel hungree throat (Talonbooks).

He will be interviewed onstage by Ashley Khan and John Nyman from the Toronto Street Writers (a free weekly group for young writers).

Impossible Words, curated by Emily Pohl-Weary and Irfan Ali, is held every second and fourth Saturday at the Academy of the Impossible.
