Where is Gloria Badcock!? Last seen in 1997's Vellevision collection, Maurice Vellekoop's sexual adventuress had disappeared from view, gone but not forgotten... until now!

Thanks to the efforts of publisher Koyama Press, a brand new comic book featuring her fun, funny, and decidedly queer sexual exploits will premier November 29th in The World of Gloria Badcock #1, at a special launch party!

Free To Attend, 18+

Join Gloria, her gay best friend, the renowned inventor Dr. Cornelius, his faithful sidekick, five-time Mr. Sweden and Nobel Prize-winning physicist Sven, and a nutty cast of eccentrics in a joyous, guilt-free, surreal, silly, symphonic celebration of sexual freedom and the special friendship that bonds gay men and (mostly) straight women!

The Beguiling, Koyama Press, and Buddies in Bad Times invite you to come out and celebrate Gloria's return with a fun-filled evening of art and illustration, a short presentation of Maurice's work, and all kinds of sexy surprises. Artist Maurice Vellekoop WILL be in attendance!

The new Gloria Badcock book makes its international debut for only $5! It is a very spicy comic, so they're restricting sales to folks 18 years of age or older! The Beguiling will also have a complete selection of Maurice Vellekoop's backlist on hand and a selection of original art, and Koyama Press will have other titles from their line available as well.

Gloria Badcock makes a perfect stocking stuffer!

Presented by The Beguiling and Koyama Press, with special thanks to Buddies in Bad Times Theatre!

About the Author:
Maurice Vellekoop is a Toronto-based author and illustrator. Vellekoop's style is a wonderful pastiche of classic 50s and 60s illustration spun through the lens of TV sitcoms, monster movies and comic books, but it is also uniquely his own with its joyful embrace of sexual diversity and freedom. He has published four books of his own work with publishers Drawn and Quarterly and Green Candy Press, and his editorial illustrations have appeared in many publications including: The New Yorker, The New York Times, Vogue, Rolling Stone, Glamour, Wallpaper, Out, Entertainment Weekly, Mother Jones, Saturday Night, Cosmetics, and Fashion.
