The Literary Review of Canada is hosting a special event at the Gariner Museum on Monday, October 4th.

In ancient India, storytellers moved from village to village, to entertain by firelight and perpetuate the myths of their country. "They carried iron rice bowls in their knapsacks, and if they told good stories they'd be allowed to eat that night," says Peter C. Newman. "I feel just as compelled to maintain people's attention. My job is to tell a good story, so the village fills up my bowl."

Please join the LRC to hear Mr. Newman tell stories and share his insights about how he captures the essence of a politician on the page.

Peter C. Newman has sold over 2 millions books chronicling Canada's most ambitious politicians, and more of his work is featured in the October issue of the LRC.

As seating is limited, we ask that you RSVP, either by email (rsvp@reviewcanada.ca) or phone: 416 531-1483.

This is the first in a series of free LRC events * Light snacks * Cash bar
