If you've ever flipped through a book on any subject of interest and thought, "I could've written this," you might want to think about doing so. It worked for me.

I self-published my book THE FOLLOW-THROUGH FACTOR: GETTING FROM DOUBT TO DONE. It got picked up by MClelland & Stewart and has since been translated into six languages. My other book, ASK BABY A, is going gangbusters in Australia.

There are many good reasons to craft a self-help book out of your experiences and interests. For one thing, it's gratifying to find common ground with readers. For another, it can be a smart career move.

In my workshop, you come away with a detailed strategy on how to use your book to build your profile and open doors, even before you finish writing it.

There's a huge market for books in this genre. But you need to know how to write and pitch your book to crack it. I'll walk you through the secrets of the trade, on Saturday October 20, 9.30 to 4 at Humber College. The fee is $129.
