Launch for Snakes & Ladders by Shaun Smith

The launch for Shaun Smith's young adult novel, Snakes & Ladders (The Dundurn Group), was held at the Gladstone Hotel on January 27, 2009 as a This Is Not A Reading Series event. Audience members played games, such as Sorry, Scrabble and Wacky Stacky, while munching on chips. Nathan Whitlock, author of A Week of This (ECW Press), interviewed Shaun, while the two authors played a giant version of Snakes and Ladders. Games masters Shannon Abel and Myrocia Watamaniuk were at the event to keep the games going.
Shaun Smith is Open Book's Writer in Residence for February 2009.
