The Afterword's Canada Also Reads

Earlier this month, the National Post's book blog, The Afterword, posted a call-out for nominations for the first annual Canada Also Reads list, an alternative to CBC's Canada Reads. The Afterword's editors felt the need for an alternate book list because, "While we've enjoyed all the books chosen by this year's [Canada Reads] panelists, we've enjoyed them already." They want their list to draw attention to "unknown or under-appreciated books." The Canada Also Reads longlist was posted today.
