CBC Short Story Prize

Canada Writes has named the winners of the 2012 CBC Short Story Prize. One grand prize winner and four runners-up were chosen from over 3,750 short stories submitted from across the country. Congratulations go out to Daniel Karasik of Thornhill, ON, whose short story “Mine” won the $6,000 grand prize!

The runners-up are:
Pamela Ferguson of Toronto, ON for “Autumnal”
Alix Hawley of Kelowna, BC for “Tentcity”
Brooks McMullin of Prince Albert, SK for “Pax”
Terence Young of Victoria, BC for “Mantra”
