Christopher Moore's Canadian History List

Toronto-based writer Christopher Moore has posted a list of "books of Canadian historical interest" on his blog and is asking readers to send in titles of notable Canadian history books "published in the last year or so." Based on his list thus far, Moore observes that McClellend & Stewart and University of Toronto Press are at the top of the list of publishers of "noteworthy Canadian history." The list includes a broad range of titles, such as Craft Capitalism: Craftworkers and Early Industrialization in Hamilton, Ontario by Robert B. Kristofferson (University of Toronto Press),

The Washington Diaries 1980-1989 by Allan Gotlieb (McClelland and Stewart), and The Persons Case: The Origins and Legacy of the Fight for Legal Personhood by Robert J. Sharpe and Patricia I. McMahon (Osgoode Society/University of Toronto Press). Visit Moore's blog for the full list, to read his reasons for his recommendations, to check for updates, and to send in your suggestions.
