Are you a Sherlock fan? Whether it's Basil Rathbone or Benedict Cumberbatch depicting the famed detective on screen, or curling up with one of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original books, the man from 221B Baker Street has delighted fans for over a hundred years.

The newest instalment in the Sherlock canon is Mr. Holmes, a film starring Ian McKellen and Laura Linney that takes the unique twist of having an elderly Holmes attempting to set the record straight following the widespread popularity of his partner Dr. Watson's written accounts of their adventures. He lives in isolation with only a housekeeper and her young son for company, and finds himself ruminating on the details of the case that forced him into retirement.

Mr. Holmes is based on American author Mitch Cullen's novel A Slight Trick of the Mind (Doubleday). Ian McKellen's performance is already being praised as "magnificent", and the film is set for a wide release in Canada on July 17, 2015.

Courtesy of Entertainment One Films, we're excited to offer a chance for our readers to win tickets to a special screening of Mr. Holmes in Toronto.

The screening will take place on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 7:00p.m. at Cineplex Cinemas Varsity (55 Bloor Street West, in the Manulife Centre).
