CSWA Science in Society Awards

Along with awards for best science journalism, the Canadian Science Writers’ Association (CSWA) honours the best Canadian science books published in the previous year with its “Science in Society Awards.”

Cascadia’s Fault by Jerry Thompson (HarperCollins Canada), which examines the impending earthquake waiting to hit the West Coast, won this year’s award for best science book for a general audience.

50 Poisonous Questions by Tanya Lloyd Kyi (Annick Press), which looks at the dangerous world of poisons, won the award for best youth book.
