This morning, the Toronto Public Library announced that Maggie Helwig’s Toronto novel, Girls Fall Down (Coach House Books, 2008), is the selection for the One Book community read for their annual Keep Toronto Reading Festival, which runs from April 1-30. Throughout the month, the TPL will host “readings, discussions and other events that bring this book’s themes to life.”

In addition, Coach House Books has announced that the TTC One Book Club will take place from April 23-30. It invites Torontonians to talk about Girls Fall Down on Twitter. The tweets will cycle throughout the day on TTC platform screens in over 60 stations across the city. You’ll be able to join in the Twitter chat by using #TTCOneBook.
