The longlist has been announced for the 2013 Scotiabank Giller Prize, kicking off the fall literary season with a bang.

The actual prize may be up to jurors Margaret Atwood, Esi Edugyan and Jonathan Lethem, but we are Open Book: Toronto want you to take a turn as a juror and tell us who you're rooting for!

Only one month left to submit to the CBC LITERARY AWARDS!

From our friends at the CBC Literary Awards:

Today is October 1st, which means that Canadian writers only have 31 days left to get their submissions in to the 2010 CBC Literary Awards.

We are looking for your original and unpublished short stories, poetry and creative nonfiction, in both official languages. First prize in all three categories is $6,000 and second prize is $4,000, courtesy of the Canada Council for the Arts. In addition, the winning texts are published in Air Canada's enRoute magazine and on our website, and the authors and their winning entries will get exposure on the CBC.
