Photos! TINARS: Queer Film Classics
Submitted by clelia on November 11, 2010 - 4:12pm
On Monday, November 8, This Is Not A Reading Series hosted Queer Film Classics. Film clips from Deepa Mehta’s Fire and Frank Vitale’s Montreal Main were shown and discussed by the celebrated scholar, author and queer rights pioneer, Tom Waugh and the Zakir Hussain Professor of Media at the AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia, Shohini Ghosh. Waugh and Ghosh were interviewed by film/video artist and activist John Greyson, whose work includes Fig Trees, Proteus and Lilies. Toronto photographer Anna Ross was there to cover the event for Open Book. Please click on a thumbnail to start the image gallery. We hope people are happy to see pictures of themselves on Open Book’s image gallery, but if you’d like your photo removed please contact us at info@openbooktoronto.com and we’ll remove it as soon as possible.
