February Contest Roundup

A Kindle, books and a signed illustration from a children's book author and illustrator are some of the prizes being given away in online contests this month. Keep reading for details and contest links.

  • There are only a few days left to enter Open Book's February Contest. Sign up for our e-newsletter by February 28th, and your name will be entered in a draw for a Kindle.

  • On Open Book, you can also win a copy of Back Off, Assassin! by Jim Smith. Read his Ten Questions with Open Book for the contest question (and answer). The contest closes on February 26th.

  • A reader sent us a note about a book giveaway on She Read a Book blog. Readers who leave a comment on a post about Ciao Bella, the latest book from the writing duo Gina Buonaguro and Janice Kirk, will have their name entered in a draw for one of five copies of the book. She Read a Book writes, "It’s a romantic book, but ohhh so much more than that. The plot is rich with tales of family, obligation, sorrow and the harshness of wartime." The contest closes on March 8th.

  • For their February contest, Anansi is giving away a copy of Lisa Moore's February. The contest closes on February 28th.

  • How do you read to a rabbit? contest. "What other animals can you think of that would enjoy a story, and why might reading to them be difficult?" Kids can submit their idea (or ideas) to Annick Press, and if their name is selected, Andrea Wayne von Königslöw, author and illustrator of the book How Do You Read to A Rabbit?, will send a signed, original sketch based on the winning entry.

  • OwlKids has several contests on the go: drawing contest, scramble contests and more. They keep updating the contest page, so it's worth checking it regularly.

Good luck!
