Happy National Poetry Month! Visit Open Book: Toronto for fresh articles, interviews, reading recommendations, event listings and regular blog posts by our April 2012 writer in residence, Sarah Tsiang.

What better way to enjoy National Poetry Month than to Head to the Gladstone Hotel tonight (Wednesday, April 4) for an evening of celebration, poetry readings and fabulous door prizes! The Trillium 25th Anniversary Reading Series continues with readings by Trillium Book Award for Poetry winners Jeramy Dodds, Maureen Scott Harris, Jeff Latosik, Adam Sol and Karen Solie. The poets will be reading from their award-winning books, and guests will also get to hear new work by this talented group of writers. The evening is hosted by Rachel Harry.

A big congratulations to our April 2012 writer in residence, Sarah Tsiang! On Monday, Sarah was shortlisted for the prestigious Gerald Lampert Award for her first book of poetry, Sweet Devilry (Oolichan Books).
